Five minutes with Callan

Callan shares an unusual fact about himself and why you won’t find him hanging out at theme parks. He tells us which celebrity he wouldn’t mind being stuck in a lift with and where you can find him at the weekends.

Do you have any hobbies?

Yes, mixed martial arts and strength training 💪. I’ve been going to the gym since I was 14 years old and practising martial arts for about 3 years. I do Brazilian Jujitsu and Muay Thai.

How do you like to spend your weekends?

I like to spend my weekends in the gym 🏋️‍♂️, being active, spending time outdoors 🌳, eating good food and making the most of my free time. I really like street food, so occasionally I’ll take a trip to London to visit the food markets 🍜.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

I can’t really think of anything I feel guilty about which I enjoy doing. Maybe going to bars with my friends and staying out a bit too late 😄

What’s your favourite smell 👃?

Givenchy Gentlemen aftershave or just the freshness of trees, plants and flowers on a summer’s day 🌿oh and freshly cut grass.

What are you most afraid of 😱?

Rollercoasters 🎢 all of the horror stories and things going wrong with them really scare me. People losing limbs, and getting stuck. I just worry that if I went on one it would malfunction and I’d lose a leg or something 😱

What inspires you the most?

When I’m in London, and I see people in suits driving really nice cars, that’s a level of financial wealth that I wish to attain 💰. It just makes me think about the life that I want.

What do you like most about working at Ocasta?

The ability to achieve personal goals as well as career goals. Because of the flexibility it means I can go to the gym at 6:30 am and still have time to come back shower, brush my teeth, eat and be ready to start work at a reasonable time ⏰. Then my evenings are free to do other things like reading or learning something new, I’m currently studying a nutrion course at the moment 📚.

If you could be stuck in a lift with any celebrity, who would it be?

Conor McGregor because of his knowledge of martial arts and his business ettiquette. He’s a very successful business man and he’s someone I look up to.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Charismatic, disciplined and nuts because I’m just the kind of guy that would be first to jump off of a cliff on holiday.

What’s an unusual fact about yourself?

I love skydiving! 🪂

What do you wish you were better at?

I do wish I was better at maths, I’ve always been bad at it unfortunately.
